31	1200	CO 2/14 rpts 4 VC suspects captured, XT512190.
33	1215	2/14 detained 4 VCs at coord XT512190. VCs are being interrogated by M.I. Ele.
36	1325	2/14 rpts CP loc 800 meters north of RP. LZ in same area. Observed 1 VC vic XT517203. VC wearing black pajamas and had a carbine. VC disappeared into bushes. Not observed since.
60	1850	1850 hrs 2/14 sniper fire during last 30 minutes coord XT516196. Cannot determine direction of fire.
70	2200	2/14 fwd CP requested Dustoff at 2200 hrs for 1 WIA - Litter patient had face wound and arm wound. Dustoff was completed at 1030 hrs. Details unknown at this time coord of pickup 515196.
71	2300	2/14 fwd rpts WIA (item 70) was from Recon plat 2/14. (Sp/4 Madden) hit by sniper in side bleeding from mouth (coord of action XT516196)

5	2330	Rec Cas Rept Battle DOW. HHC/2/14 Madden, Richard Jr. US52633657 PFC E3 032145 Jun 66. XT519195. Gunshot wound, neck. Moving from foxhole to a truck distance of about 15 meters, challenged by two guards from C/2/14. Heard one guard, turned toward him, second one fired.
