ITEM`	TIME	INCIDENTS, MESSAGES, ORDERS, ETC.
3	0006	2/14 fwd, D-C-7 ptl returned fwd B/C plt ldr. Reason - safety of ptl. Bde informed that another ptl ldr would take ptl back out - time 2320. At 0006 Bde notified ptl cancelled because of danger in using same route back out 0-C-9 ptl at (2147) rptd possible loc VC ambush, Log #60 (15 June) at 2135 (9) VC were spotted at 519217, fired arty & mortar at loc. This is reason for canceling ptl D-C-9.
7	0130	A/2/14 rear reported pat #2 loc 670168 at 0030 hrs observed 5 VC across road from ambush site. Took under fire with S/A and (1) Claymore. 2 VC ran, 3 remained on ground. (Poss 3 KIA) the 2 VC that ran went toward Pat #1 POS 668169. This Pat did not observe but heard the noise of the 2 VC & took them under fire with S/A & detonated 3 claymores. Results unk. Pat #2 then joined Pat #1 (0040) and both Pats returned to Ann Margaret (0053). No friendly casualties. Pats will remain at Ann Margaret overnight.
12	0225	A/2/14 Pat #2 lost 45 cal pistol at ambush site (670168) during engagement with VC SN of pistol 1923904. Pat is scheduled to return at first light to ambush site & search for pistol.
29	0625	2/14 patrol returning to ambush site 0615
34	0735	2/14 Patrol in BC 0730. Pistol has been found.
36	0740	2/14 rpts VC susp road blocks at 525186, 522188, 542178, 538180, rptd to Dragon by Peanut Stock 10 - Dragon Recon & 1 Light Unit of 3/4 sent to investigate.
37	0750	2/14 fwd & rpts Dragon 6 - Instructed Dragon B-6 to return to BC and await delayed starting time.
40	0815	2/14 notified that clearing prec rptd roadblocks are resp of 49th ARVN Regt
42	0830	Dragon 6 Secured & now crossing CP "A"
49	0925	2/14 rpts National Police found 155 shell rigged for Cmd Detonation 525186 - Co C 2/14 loc 507224 - N/C
52	1015	2/14 SITREP - Co C at 503220 - Local population reports 10-15 VC living in local houses - Neg Contact - Co B loc 538211 - loc old trenches appx 100 m long - No disposition. 0935 hrs.
53	1025	0955 2/14 picked up 6 female and 3 male detainees - Interrogated & released - also 1 VCS picked up - Being processed at this time.
60	1110	1 VC sqd Call Taxes at 523188-526185 - Withdrew before engaged by 2/14 4 dirt mounds w/dummy booby trtaps - Co C 505226 Co B 527228 Cav Pat 530203
61	1110	At 1035 Dragon C-6 found 2500 lbs rice at XT506226 - Rice being destroyed.
62	1137	Dragon B-6 recd sniper fire at coord 524228 Called Arty.
68	1215	2/14 Sabre element unable to maneuver on obj Point - Moved in w/Co B - Co B reports sniper fire silenced by Arty.
70	1235	2/14 report Sabre B loc tunnel at 530201 - Trench at 528208.
73	1300	1247 Sabre3 B Loc Canteen & Cup & Susp Mortar Psn XT525232 - 1245 Dragon B loc Grenade Launcher attachment, Carbine & dart gun coord 525232. Being evacuated to Rear.
76	1324	1315 Dragon "C" captured 1 VC. Will evacuate loc 500233. Co B has 7 VC w/wpns under surveilance - will attempt to capture.
77	1340	At 1325 2/14 initial rpt on hand held spotlight beam effectively to 100 meters covers 25 meter arc at that distance - Very good in opinion of user - will report later on use tonight.
78	1345	C/2/14 captured additional 1 VCS at 500233 at 1330. 2/14 patrol closed Ann Margaret 1330.
84	1500	At 1450 Dragon "B" moving south t ocoord 530220 - Setting up blocking posn - Evacuated 1 heat casualty to Cu Chi.
95	1810	2/14 (Ref Item 73) Dart Gun previously reported was merely a child's toy.
113	2110	2/14 Patrol #2 rpts undetermined number enemy approaching ambush site.
118	2220	2/14 fwd C element rpts seeing 1 red & 3 white lights. Were taken under fire by mortars and arty. Results unk.
124	2327	2/14 reported radio jamming from 2255 to 2307. Comm re-established.

4	2000	Rec Cas Rept Battle WIA. HHC/2/14 Barney, Leonard F. RA19689747 SP4 E4 161530 Jun 66. XT216211. Penetrating frag. wound left ear, back of head. Search & Destroy mission, fired M-79 into house, blast came back on him.
