17	0755	Hornet 3: gunships firing their 60mm on LZ1 & LZ 2
21	0819	Charlie 6: Lead elements reached OMAHA; are now setting up
23	0826	Charlie 6: discovered bunker at XT147472 description of bunker: 6x6 dirt & log constructed with firing pits, no sign of recent occupancy. Preparing to blow

54	1515	Recon: apprehended 1 VCS at pickup zone man had concealed weapon M-1 carbine, no identification.
58	1835	Lancer 3 (Capt Palmer) to Capt Murphy: 2/14 should assume the Bde reaction company mission as previously directed. Time to assume mission is 090700 Aug 66
62	1935	S-3 to Bravo 2/14: B Co was notified of a change in frequency for the ambush patrols tonight. the new frequency is 57.75. time 1955. Patrol 1 radio check loud and clear.
64	2012	Bde to S-3 2/14: Request Liaison officer from 2/14 be sent to Bde S-3 ASAP
67	2036	B/2/14: M-79 was accidentally fired on bunker line. Round landed between village and bunker line. No casualties.
70	2110	CO 2/14 to 33, A,B,C, 34, 2/14: Frag order was issued from Bde, 1 company is to bre prepared to move on order to take 4/9 bunker line. Designated unit is company composed of 1 platoon from B, 1 platoon from C, and Recon Plt. Capt Mobley is designated CO of provisional company.
71	2118	Lancer 3 (Maj Shelton): 4/9 received 1 mortar round & possibly more in their base CP

9	0030	2/14 rear sprung ambush at 0010 hrs said they spotted 4 personnel moving toward their loc, they estimate 2 WIA's and are moving back 200 meters. XT665178
34	0528	2/14 patrols have left their psn
40	0630	UH-1B from 116 Avn Co lt fire team caught fire at refueling point. Lt fire team will not employ in spt of 4/9. Second team has been requested from 116th Avn Co.
50	1120	At 1110 C/2/14 picked up female in front of bunker line attempting to exchange piasters for GI currency. Turned into 25th MID
54	1400	2/14 rear patrol left ann margaret 1300.
