Bde: The chopper that Lt Muir requested to haul chow will not be available.  He can use the General's chopper at par 4

11 0723 Dragon 33: Called Charlie Co and they said the chow had already been taken out
13 0740 Dragon 4: Call sign of chopper I'm using is Hornet 42 tail number is 686.  Will be on your push in 15 minutes.
14 0805 Dragon 33: Informed Dragon Bravo that we would have friendly elements (Recon) in front of their position where their mortars are
15 0825 4/23: We have a patrol going out today and when they return they will be going within 200 meters of your lines.  Be sure you notify your people of this
16 0833 Lawyer 4: Inform Lt Muir that the bunker kits are not in yet.  They should come in today.  If they do they will have to be cut and will have them ready tomorrow.
18 0915 S3:  Called S4 and ordered him to relay to 2/14 Maint and to send mechanic to Bn CP to check for belt on Hq 87 (3/4 Trk)
23 1040 Dragon S3: Informed Dragon B6 that Dragon 6 would like to see him ASAP ref hand grenade blown this morning
24 1048 S3: Notified Co C to have a patrol for tonight to report to Bc CP at 1300 hrs today for briefing
25 1049 S3: Capt Fleming of Bde called stated that at 1300 hrs today some stumps would be blown up north end of airfield
26 1105 We have finished hauling wire and now hauling chow for unit.  Request permission to release chopper after chow run.  We will get it back about 143039
39 1724 Maj Griffith to Bde: Wire in 2/14th Sector completed
44 1909 S3 to Bde: Vehicles status report - Six vehicles still out of area assisting in recovery of other vehicles stuck in mud
49 2030 D3 to D33: Release patrol leader back to C Co, he has another mission.  We are having difficulty with vehicles and will have to secure them for the night.  Will brief you on my return.  Everything under control
51 2050 D3:  All is calm with trucks.  Two are still stuck.  C Co will secure with platoon minus C Co patrol is cancelled.  Engineer vehicles are on way back to Oahu Base.
53 2118 S-3:  Bn S-2 departed CP with one National Policemen & interpreter & C Co elements to escort them to ARVN outpost approx 500 to 600 m outside MP gate.  S-2 was informed to pick up MP jeep at gate as escort.
55 2210 C Co to S-3: Have linked up with stuck vehicles and am setting up defensive position
57 2230 S-2: Reported three lights in village moving around (Ap Thi Thuong).  S-2 escorted C Co elements to stuck vehicles.
58 2250 B Co:  Sitrep reported two rounds fired across their front, believed to have come from the ARVN Outpost

A/2/14 (Rear) loc 1 105mm rd vic 667177.  Destroyed in place.

42 1202 2/14 rpts Recon plat departed base camp at 0955, crossed pl GREY at 1015 & pl RED at 1200
51 1455 A/2/14 (Rear) Patrol closed B/C 1315.  Neg contact
52 1500 2/14 Recon plat closed B/C at 1456.  B/2/14 has assumed responsibility of base area from C/2/14
67 2050 2 725th Wreckers stuck vic XT160505.  Ambush consisting of Plat (-) will act as security
72 2115 2/14 Security element and S2 departed to establish truck security and coordinate security w/PF post will be accompanies by MP gun jeeps.  Will inform this Hq when all elements are in place and coordination is made.  Currently 1 Sqd is securing veh.
80 2212 S2, 2/14 returned w/vehicles used for security element.  Coordination completed.
