2/14 Fwd CP was established vci Dau Tieng coord XT 493472 at 1050 hrs

2/14 Fwd CP established radio communications with 1st Bde 65 at 100 hrs thru Arty Lo Net and with S3 2/14 Rear (Cu Chi) at 1105 hrs

4 1115 From 33 Rear to 33 Fwd:  1st lift arrived Dau Tieng from Cu Chi at 1010 hrs and 3d lift arrived approx 1030 hrs.  4th lift arrived Dau Tieng from Cu Chi at 1055 hrs.
5 1116 From Bn CO to 33 Rear:  (Monitored) Bn CO required 33 Rear approx number of lifts of equipment still left to be lifted out of Cu Chi to Dau Tieng.  Reply at 1122 hrs was approx 16 to 20 lifts still left at Cu Chi to be sent to Dau Tieng.  Also that 33 Rear thought lift 5 had just left Cu Chi

9 1324 A Co closed in assigned positions vic Dau Tieng
10 1330 As of 1330 hrs wire line (hot line) comm were established to 1st Bde S3 BTOC
14 1430 All elements of Btry B, 7/11 Arty closed Dau Tieng
15 1432 Bn CO arrived at Bn CP location vic Dau Tieng
18 1440 A and B Co were notified to have the Company Commanders report to the Bn CP as soon as possible and be prepared to discuss strength measures
19 1331 Bn Command Net received intermittent type jamming commencing at 1331 hrs for approx 20 min.  However, this station could still transmit & receive over teh jamming.
25 1720 All units were instructed to send their Vietnamese Interpreters to BTOC for the purpose of picking up the National Police for Opn KAMUELA.
26 1730 From Lawyer 3 to Lt Friend:  All personnel from Co C 81 mortars & rifle platoon from Ambush Academy will come to this location at 0920 by airmobile company, also 1 man from Long Range Patrol
32 1903 From 4/503 Airborne to S3:  At coord XT 520453 a VC Bn has been reported and at XT 517445, XT 460486.  The PHU LOI Bn has been reported dispersed in 3 elements.
33 1905 From S3 Fwd to S3 Rear: SITREP could not be flown to Cu Chi because of weather and RTT was damaged on landing.
37 2001 From Se to A,B,C,HHC, Arty LNO:  Be advised that the VC is monitoring radio transmissions, be extremely careful when using radio.  Also the curfew hrs for this area are as follows, in town from 2100 to 0500.  Outside of town is from 1900 hrs to 0600.  Ref teh staff meeting scheduled for this evening has been cancelled for tonight and will be conducted at 210700 Sep 66.
38 2030 From Capt Peterson to Lt Rapuana:  Call from Capt Batasson ref lights shining in B Co area - he told the ARVN to turn off all lights.
40 2120 Inform A Co CO that his unit is going out for 7 days.

2/14 airlift scheduled for 0630 has been delayed for one hour due to weather

14 0610 Patrol 2 spotted 2 VC at ambush site 649174.  VC were brought under fire with S/A & M-79's, observed thru starlite body being dragged away.  1 VC KIA (Poss).  Patrol relocated to 648172
19 0700 2/14 patrol 1 closed B/C 0655, patrol 2 0645
26 0815 2/14 First lift touched down at 0807 hrs
27 0825 2/14 2d lift, Serial 8 consisting of 5 box cars departed 0815
28 0850 2/14 rpts 1st lift returned to Cu Chi, airfield socked in

76 2400 SUMMARY:  1st Bde cont three separate Bn Opns.  Opn LANIKAI (4/9) Opn KALIHI (4/23) & Opn KAMUELA.  4/9 cont construction of a base camp at Ben Luc & unit conducted a CHECKMATE Opn & MEDCAP at Long Phu.  2/14 commenced Opn KAMUELA Bn (-) airlifted to Dau Tieng.  4/23 conducted a Co size airmobile assault vic XT713186 & conducted sqd size patrols during the day.
