From Capt Palmer to S3 Air:  2 ARVN boats going down river as soon as fog clears, flying the ARVN flag with cross on both sides.

15 0757 From D3X to S3:  From fwd D3X reports found (3) 55 gal drums of rice at XT 510382, was destroyed.
16 0800 From Bde to S3:  Bde said not to destroy any rice that can be hauled out by helicopter.
18 0845 From A Co to 33:  A Co found claymore detonation wire in tunnel.  Also found different color wires, including some cans that looked like they would be used as mines at XT 512389.  Also destroyed several 2.75 rockets.
19 0910 From 33 to S3:  Would like to remind 3 that there are 2 napalm duds located vix XT504386
20 0925 From C Co to 33:  C Co has found tunnel at XT 511379.  Length of tunnel 20 feet, was destroyed.
21 0950 From CO to S3:  Small arms fire on the northern side of perimeter at XT 510390.  One man with automatic weapon, contact broken, man fled to the east.
22 1015 From Little Bear 628 to 33:  Little Bear 628 reported 2 people running on the east side of the river down the road XT 524408.
23 1050 From A Co to 33:  A Co has destoryed 8 tunnels, 200 lbs of rice and 3 houses at XT 512389.
24 1110 From A Co XO to S3:  Notify A Co that the following men are to come in from the field, Koleff and Spataro
26 1405 From C Co to 33:  C Co requires for afternoon resupply 1 M14 belt, salt tablets, 2 cases of frag grenades.
28 1430 From Dragon 6X to S3 Air:  B Co requests 1 pr jungle boots size 9R.
30 1530 From CO to 33:  Call to rear and inform XO that the CO desired Payday held off until units return.
31 1540 From A Co to 33:  A Co 3rd Plat has reported destroying 100 lbs salt XT 512386
34 1600 From S3 to 33:  2/14 patrols for night of 29 Sep 66 are as follows:  Pat #1 (DP1) from Co A location XT 510388.  Pat #2 (DP2) from Co B location XT 507386.  Pat #3 (DP3) from Co C location XT 510381.  Time out 292000 Sep 66.  Time In is 300600 Sep 66.
35 1605 From Capt Miller to S3 Air:  25th Div will be queried reference info on captured documents ASAP.
36 1630 From Co B to 33:  Co B platoon size patrol destroyed the following items:  8 buildings, 9 tunnels, 3 punji pits, 1 trench from XT 506383 to XT 510379.  1 30-ft tunnel XT 506381.
38 1645 From S3 to 33:  Only received only 10 cans water per Co; reason being that all water cans still in field.
39 1700 From Bde 3 to 33:  Request interpreter to interview a Chieu Hoi.  Capt Deliz was notified and interpreter was returned on first resupply chopper.
40 1715 From 2 to 33:  There will be a PRC-25 coming in, it does not appear to have proper output, it will be without accessories, 2 wants a PRC-25 sent out tomorrow to replace it.
44 1825 From 33 to S3:  One Chieu Hoi will come out with S3 Air to help on tomorrow's opn.  Chieu Hoi has been in area near Obj CAT XT 488395.
47 1800 From Bde to 33:  Vietnamese Halloween - be advised children will be out on roads with lantern.
49 1915 From Bde S2 to 33:  Be advised that in area of operation a favorite VC tactic is to ambush an element as it prepares to move out of night defensive perimeter.
50 2000 Be advised ARVN have fired (7) M-79 rounds at suspect enemy targets vic XT 490747.
51 1945 From S3 to 33:  Supplies for the following units:  Co C:  2 cases of C rations, 6 HE 60mm mortar rds, 1 ball point pen, 50 lbs composition C-4, 50 non-electric blasting caps, 1 small pocket notebook, 10 capsules of dervon, 2 bottles of diarrhea compound, 1 minor surgical kit.  Recon plat:  3 bottles of calamine lotion, 3 PRC-25 batteries.
54 2110 From Recon Plat to 33:  Supplies to Recon Plat to be sent on tomorrow morning's resupply, 1 case of smoke, yellow or purple.
55 2245 Security Plat (Entac) fired 3 M-79 rounds at suspected enemy.  XT 498473 at 2245 hrs, results unk.

C/4/9 rpt after cease fire w/mortar at 675151, 50 cal. continued firing at target.  Rpt (1) secondary explosion (3) VC KIA (Poss).

25 0848 B/4/23 patrol checked area of last night's ambush at XT693174, confirmed 1 VC KIA (BC).
29 0900 4/9 reported village at XS614721 completely devoid of people for 1000m around village.
30 0917 A/2/14 located (3) 3.75 rockets at XT512389.  Rockets destroyed.
31 0930 B/4/9 obj at XS666719 surrounded 20 male detainees, being questioned by MI.  Continuing to search houses.
32 0935 C/2/14 located and destroyed 20 meter tunnel at XT511379.
33 0937 S3 (Bde) reported 1 ARVN Ranger Co going to cache area to move rice to river.
34 0945 B/4/23 requested dustoff for 1 man wounded night of 28 Sep, throat wound.
36 1000 2/14 fwd base rec'd AW fire from XT510390, fire returned results unknown.
39 1045 B/4/23 destroyed 3 tunnels at XT676167.
41 1111 B/4/9 returning to base camp bringing in 18 detainees, 1st lift took off 1109.
42 1115 A/2/14 destroyed 8 tunnels, 3 bldgs, and 200 lbs rice at XT512389.
43 1125 Last lift B/4/9 received fire from XS646740.  Fire appeared to come from Church.
44 1158 C/2/1 located 2,500 lbs of salt in 100 lb bags vic XT484426.  Will evacuate ASAP
46 1255 MI attached to Bde fwd reported plantation worker from Michelin Plantation stated two platoons VC escorted 15 intelligence officers from XT550569 to XT564478 some time on 28 Sep 66.
49 1530 4/23 requests Aircraft for Co size Airmobile Opns in FILHOL Plantation.  LZ time 021300 hrs Oct 66.
50 1530 4/23 requests (1) ptl 3/4 Cav minus tanks for Opn to East of FILHOL on 3 Oct 66.
52 1550 1530 hrs C/2/1 rec'd (1) rifle grenade 483422, neg casualties.
53 1550 A/2/14 destroyed 100 lbs salt 512386.
57 1840 2/14, 4/9, 4/23 informed that tonight is Viet Nam Halloween, Beware of Kids.
58 1841 During period 291300 hrs & 291630 hrs Sep 66 B/2/14 located (8) bldgs, (9) tunnels, (3) punji pits, (1) tunnel 30 ft long at 566381.
76 2150 2035 C/4/9 patrol loc 673154 (1) man broken leg brought back to 25th Med, patrol is moving back into position.
80 2200 Rec'd verbal msg from G3 Duty Officer (Maj Duke):  Platoon size ambushes are to be employed on S.E. corner of plantation, vic XT6816 on the nights of 30 Sep and 1 Oct.  A squad ambush is to be emplaced on the bridge loc XT684146 on the night of 30 Sep.  A Div aerial observer will be airborne from 2100-0400 the nights of 30 Sep and 1 Oct.
85 2400 SUMMARY:  2/14 and 2/1 Inf continued operation KAMUELA with negative contact, 4/23 conducted S&D in FILHOL plantation with negative contact, 4/9 conducted a search of Ap Xom Dong with Negative contact.
