4/23 platoon extraction completed 0732.  1st flight received (1) rnd S/A fire XT628178.  2nd flight received (2) rds S/A fire XT 636179.  Neg. cas.

19 0740 4/9 fwd 2nd flight complete 0718, gunship received S/A fire 665183, neg hits.  B Co reached obj 1 at 0725 neg contact.
20 0810 4/9 1st lift completed for 3/50 (ARVN) 0731 coord XT 466667.  3rd lift completed for 3/50 0745, B 4/9 on obj #1 at 0750.  Found propaganda sign and what appears to be VC Info booth.  Neg enemy contact.
23 0856 B/4/9 at 0845 discovered 3,250 lbs loose rice in house vic coord 671662, received permission from village chief to destroy rice.  Also found some 20mm blank ammo and 7.62 Communist ammo.  Ammo will be evacutated.
26 0955 4/9 convoy closed 0920.  A/4/9 at coord XS 669666 (1) WIA by booby-trap.  Walking, not serious.  Also found 2 cement bunkers, will destroy.
28 1025 B/4/9 at 1015 coord XS667658 found an estimated 2 tons of rice in 250 lb bags.  Will contact village chief to arrange for transportation.
30 1100 A/4/9 destroyed 2 bunkers and 500 lbs rice at XS668664.  B/4/9 captured 1 VCS and 12 tons of rice at XS663656.
36 1158 2/14 lead element found and destroyed one house XT484423.
45 1332 B/4/23 destroyed (1) 81mm dud round.
47 1410 2/1 had 2 heat casualties.  Evacuated via C&C ship.  B/2/14 has taken 3 VCS XT 476451, taken back to fwd CP.
52 1515 B/4/23 destroyed (2) 60mm mortar rounds and (1) grenade set as booby-trap.  695171.
54 1540 2/14 lead elements closed B/C at 1537.
56 1555 A/4/9 fwd last element received sniper fire 649652.
58 1610 2/14 fwd - (1) VC game himself up, 2/14 bringing him in to turn over to POW compound.
60 1625 Item 58 - Chieu Hoi returned to POW cage, mistaken identity.
61 1630 4/9 fired ARty on sniper (Item 55), 1 VC KIA (Poss).
64 1658 B/2/14 (1) VCS unknown no# VCC.  (IPW team)
65 1700 Spot report G2 Special Forces MACV:  20 VC cadre at T fwd command post 515359.  12 VC cadre of Military Intel Off 518352.  15 VC cadre of supply sub sector 508355.  These areas are reported defending area C, plt strength of 70 armed c 1-AR, 1-30 Lt MG, 1-60mm mortar, 4 grenade launchers, assorted sub-MG and rifles.  Special Forces evaluation rpt Foxtrot 3.
71 1833 2/14  Request dustoff 1 litter, N Airstrip at Dau Tieng.
74 1850 Dustoff item 71:  Man 2/14 stepped on mine outside Bn Hqs 498473.  Dustoff complete 1900.
80 2215 4/9 fwd from Long An Province, 300 regional force VC at XS560796 at 021200.  Wearing green and yellow uniforms.  Have suicide troops detailed to follow U.S.  Giving a C3 rating.
81 2225 B/4/23 received sniper fire from 697170.  Firing Arty.  Neg results.
86 2400 SUMMARY:  Bde (-) continued operation KAMUELA.  2/14 Inf moved to DAU TIENG with negative contact.  2/1 secured route for 2/14 move with negative contact.  4/9 continued Opn LANIKAI with minor contact.  4/23 Inf continued opn KALIHI with negative results.
