25	0632	B/4/23 loc XT753153 receiving AW fire from right flank, returning fire with SA and AW fire. Results unk.
27	0647	B/4/23 requests dustoff for 1 individ WIA by booby-trap, LZ vic XT733153. Unit will mark with lights or smoke. LZ secure.
28	0650	B/4/23 requests dustoff for 2nd litter case, same loc as entry 27.
30	0715	423 reports dustoff turned away as it received SA fire form N & E, estimate 7-8 snipers.
34	0805	B/4/23 stay-behind patrol platoon received SA sniper fire, no casualties.
35	0830	B/4/23 dustoff complete for (2) WIA's, one from B/4/23, one from 65th Engr. One 4/23 WIA (minor) not evac.
39	0925	B/4/23 receiving no fire. Sending probes to front. Awaiting resupply of ammo, redistributing ammo.
40	0927	B/4/23 received (1) WIA friendly from friendly Arty. Slight wrist wound, just broke skin.
44	0947	Delayed Entry: B/4/23 reports 1 gunship received (1) rd SA fire, hit main rotor blade, neg casualties, from XT760154.
45	1005	B/4/23 requests dustoff for (2) WIA litter patients, gunshot wounds, serious. SA sniper fire at XT753153. LZ secure, will mark on request. Gunships and dustoff come up on 4/23 freq.
46	1018	B/4/23 reports (1) of (2) WIA's DOW, still request dustoff. (1) additional WIA wounded in foot.
48	1030	B/4/23 reports dustoff complete. (1) KIA report previously has been revised, (3) WIA now status.
50	1050	C/2/14 loc 654194, APC threw track, repair in place, neg. contact.
60	1220	Meg to 2/14: Deputy COMMACV will visit 2/14 for approx 20 min (1540). Talk to Bn CO, Officers and NCOs of Battalion.
74	1345	C/2/14 at 1230 hrs destroyed 2 AP mines at XT661196. Also found 1 AP mine at XT667197. Will destroy in place.
75	1345	B/4/23 requested dustoff XT759149 for 1 WIA by booby-trap, wounded in leg - litter. Dustoff complete 1410 hrs.
82	1525	C/2/14 resupply completed 1455.
109	2025	A/4/23 patrol spotted 2 VC XT762148. Threw grenades and checking area. Found 2 M-14 clips.
115	2400	SUMMARY: 1st Bde continued with Opns LANIKAI (4/9 Inf) and KALIHI (2/14 & 4/23 Inf). 4/9 Inf continued LANIKAI with an airmobile S&D BUDDY Opn. A/4/9 and elements 3/50 ARVN conducted airmobile assault on LZ vic XS645789 and XS649784 and conducted S&D Opns in objective area vic XS668200. Elements returned to Ben Luc base by air closing at 1330 hrs. 2/14 Inf conducted S&D Opns with C/2/14 and B/3/4 Cav from vic XT645201 to XT664194 where an overnight base is established. 4/23 Inf continued KALIHI with B/4/23 conducting BUSHMASTER Opn vic XT7315.
