ITEM`	TIME	INCIDENTS, MESSAGES, ORDERS, ETC.
2	0040	C/4/23 patrol reported platoon size unit 300 meters from ambush site moving east, believed to be ARVN. Called G3. G3 in process of checking it out. 4/23 notified to keep under surveillance.
3	0045	G3 says reported platoon size unit is believed to be ARVN and were told by G3 to move out of the area. 4/23 advises ambush patrol keep the unit under surveillance and to note any suspicious activity.
6	0120	4/9 fwd picked up 2 VCS vic XS673268 and misc documents. VCS to be interrogated at fwd base.
25	0910	4/9 fwd element cannot depart due to weather. Do not know when can depart.
30	1047	B/2/14 received 3-5 rds of sniper fire vic XT693191. No casualties.
37	1240	B/2/14 rec'd sniper fire vic XT700185. Returned fire, results unknown, 1 WIA US. Dustoff requested.
38	1343	2/14 informs that they will fire 106 recoilless rifle at 1345 from bunker line.
63	2230	B/2/14 rec'd 6-7 rds of rifle grenades and (2) 60mm mortars from XT703187 at 2205 hrs. 2 minor casualties, no dustoff required. Returned fire with M-79 and SA, firing stopped.
65	2303	ARVN fired Arty at XT703186 in support of B/2/14
68	2400	SUMMARY: 1st Bde continued Opns LANIKAI and KALIHI. 4/9 Inf continued LANIKAI with a BUDDY raid Opn 0015 hrs vic XS673186 and a BUDDY S&D Opn airmobile vic XS6682 with A/4/9. Elements returned to Cen Luc base camp at 1220 hrs. 2/14 continued LAKIHI with a BUDDY S&D Opn. B/2/14 conducted S&D from XT6719 to 6918 with 1/7 ARVN blocking vic XT7019. 4/23 continued KALIHI with the extraction of A/4/23 by air vic XT7614, returning to Cu Chi base camp at 0738 hrs.

3	1510	Rec Cas Rept Battle WIA. HHC 2/14 Sisco, Larry R. PFC E3 291310 Oct 66. XT700185. Cuts on back from glass. S&D mission, sniper bullet hit his pack, breaking medicine bottles.
4	1720	Rec Cas Rept Battle WIA. A 2/14 Crayton, Eddie SP4 E4 291500 Oct 66. XT660171. Fragment wound right elbow. EM on bunker guard, hit by friendly frags from 106 Recoilless Rifle.
