4	0140	B/4/9 patrol reports SA fire and 1 M-79 round fired from vic Vinh Cu. 4/9 patrol was not involved. However, they stated the M-79 round was close to a bunker.
5	0150	C/4/23 fwd patrol received SA fire from friendly ARVN unit. One WIA (slightly). Patrol returning to B/C. ARVN Advisor is with patrol to preclude further incident.
22	0627	2/14 patrol closed Ann Margaret.
26	0745	2/14 notified they would assume 2nd Bde patrol area.
34	1130	A/4/23 loc XS703794 at 1115 hrs. Unit was pulled back to investigate VC activity in mangroves.
47	1825	At 1745 hrs 2 VC were observed at XT748200 by SSG Love and Mr. Simpson on Recon mission. VC engaged with Arty. 1 VC KIA (BC), 1 KIA (Poss).
49	1910	2/14 is sending Lt Blake to Motor Officer course in lieu of other Lt.
68	2400	SUMMARY: 1st Bde continued Opn LANIKAI and KALIHI. 4/23 conducted a S&D BUDDY Opn with Co A 3/50 ARVN vic XS7080, 4/9 Inf established joint operations center (US/ARVN) vic Binh Chanh. 2/14 conducted local security and ambush locations. 4/9 Inf will conduct airmobile S&D BUDDY Opn vic XS696810 & XS763812. 2/14 Inf Bn (-) will remain OPCON 2nd Bde. 4/23 Inf will conduct S&D BUDDY Opn vic 629734.
