A/2/14 patrol closed B/C at 0640.

2/14 bunker line has switched from primary to alternate means of commo.  All working.

39 1130 G2 reports (1) aircraft shot down XT560223, also outpost 1500 meters south of Trang Bang now under mortar attack.
40 1200 From G3:  2/14 and 2nd Bde to move to Tay Ninh this afternoon.  4/9 has been alerted to assume all 2/14 missions.
42 1209 4/9 to assume security of Ann Margaret and bridge 081400 Nov 66.
50 1352 B/4/23 designated base camp reaction force.
51 1405 Bde req 50 men to help man 4/23 bunker line.
52 1408 A/4/9 is in OPCON of 2nd Bde.
54 1445 Msg to 4/9:  Assume responsibility for 2/27th area.  (Patrol area) no longer under OPCON 2nd Bde, reverted to 1st Bde control.
59 1645 Msg from G-3:  Provide 1 platoon for security & downed aircraft from 3/4 Cav, have platoon report to D troop 3/4 Cav ASAP.  B/4/23 given mission.  Aircraft is down west of Trung Lap vic 584235.
93 2400 SUMMARY:  1st Bde continued Opns LANIKAI and KALIHI.  4/9 Inf conducted an S&D BUDDY Opn.  A/4/9 conducted an airmobile assault on LZ's vic XS696810 and XS703812 and conducted opsn to objective area vic XS695814 and XS695814 and XS702805.  RF/PF force established blocking position vic XS703799.  A/4/9 returned to Cu Chi base camp by air closing at 1258 hrs.  2/14 Inf (-) remained OPCON 2nd Bde.  2/14 Inf attached to 2nd Bde effective 081400 hrs.  4/23 conducted a S&D BUDDY Opn.  C/4/23 and a Co 3/50 ARVN moved by RAG boat to landing site vic XS629734 with ARVN S&D opns to objective area vic XS629734 and XS643739 with ARVN on the south and C/4/23 on the north.  Recon platoon occupied blocking position vic XS636750.  Units returned to Ben Luc by foot closing at 1225 hrs.  US/ARVN JOC's remain at Tan An XS5565 and Binh Chanh XS7279.
