8	0401	4/9 at Ann Margaret reports rec'd (1) grenade type unknown at bunker #4, neg casualties, return SA and M-79 fire, results unknown.
9	0404	1/27 reports spotting (2) VC with Starlite at XT627157, taken under fire with SA and M-79. Results unknown.
28	0915	A/4/23 detained 2 VCS at XS595789. Bringing them in for interrogation.
35	1016	C/4/23 destroyed 1 bomb shelter at XT621168 at 1000 hrs.
37	1100	A/4/23 closed Ben Luc. Have 4 VCS to be turned over to S2 for interrogation. VCS detained at XS597789.
38	1140	C/4/9 16 element at XS770826, command group and 26 element at XS752806, 36 element at XS752808. Elements now have a total of 19 detainees.
40	1205	C/4/23 loc XT616172, found and destroyed 1 hand grenade.
41	1230	C/4/23 located XT616173 2 booby-trapped hand grenades, destroyed them.
43	1250	C/4/23 loc old carbine.
45	1400	4/23 located 2 AP mines, 1 structure containing some documents at XT617173.
47	1440	C/4/23 found fresh food in bowl, still warm. Also one blasting cap for command detonated mine. XT614174, still checking area.
54	1735	C/4/23 located 1 section of a Bangalore torpedo, 1 ammo can with misc clothing, 1 M-14 magazine full of ammo, 12 rounds lose M-14 ammo at XT615173.
61	1935	B/4/9 patrol located (3) freshly dug positions and a tunnel entrance vic XT682172. Patrol was enroute to ambush site. 4/9 planning stay-behind ambush. Further info will be forwarded when decision is made.
69	2400	SUMMARY: 1st Bde continued Opn LANIKAI with 4/9 Inf conducting S&D BUDDY Opn vic XS769826, and 4/23 Inf conducted airmobile S&D BUDDY opn vic XS597790 with 3/50 ARVN. Co C 4/23 conducted S&D opn and established overnight base in FILHOL Plantation XT606176. 2/14 Inf remained attached to 2nd Bde. 4/9 Inf will conduct local security and platoon size ambush. 4/23 will continue LANIKAI with S&D BUDDY and MEDCAP Opns and C/4/23 will continue Opn in FILHOL Plantaton. 2/14 Inf remains attached to 2nd Bde.
