7	0305	C/2/14 started moving out from Base Camp at 0300. At O/P Ann Margaret waiting for Arty prep to finish before leaving.
19	0750	B/4/9 patrol (fwd) picked up 5 detainees at XS732802 at 0700. Returned same to fwd base camp for interrogation.
47	1830	A/4/9 patrol at Laterite Pit rec'd 2 rds SA fire. Fire was not returned.
54	2000	C/4/23 at fwd base located XS597762 rec'd SA fire from unk nbr of VC, Arty being fired in support. Results unk.
65	2400	SUMMARY: 1st Bde continues opn LANIKAI, conducted opn in FILHOL Plantation and continued base security and ambush operations. 4/9 Inf conducted night ambushes. 4/9 Inf conducted them in Gia Dinh and Hau Nghia Provinces and continued construction of a battalion base and fire support base vic Binh Chanh,. 2/14 Inf conducted S&D Opns with Co C vic XT675184 starting at 0305 hrs and returning to base at 1600 hrs. 4/23 Inf continued Opn LANIKAI in AO I with ambush patrols continued vic XS5976 by Co C and GVN National Police. A Co base continues vic XS599767. PLANS SUMMARY: 4/9 Inf will continue local security and ambush operations in the Cu Chi base area. Co C will move to Binh Chanh by convoy at 0630 hrs. 2/14 Inf will conduct local security and ambush opns in the Cu Chi base area. 4/23 Inf will continue opn LANIKAI with Co C continuing opns vic XS599767 until 1400 hrs.
