25	1700	C Co progress report: Bunker #6 rebuilt. B Co mess hall one wall built. 400 sand bags filled.
		Rest of day patrols come and go, no action.

4	0045	A/4/9 patrol spotted 10 VC at XT620159, calling Arty on their position.
7	0201	4/9 lost commo with patrol from A Co. The patrol returning to new Laterite pit vic XT620168 to remain until morning.
10	0450	4/9 Bn reported spotting 10 personnel vic new Laterite pit. Engaged with SA fire; results unk at this time.
11	0508	4/9 Laterite pit observed 30 personnel vix XT672146 carrying torches and building fires. Continuing to observe.
15	1100	Sub Sector advisor at Phu Hoa Duong reported a possible 10 VC outpost vic XT707188.
19	1902	A/3/4 Cav will be closing Cu Chi in approx 30 min, B/3/4 Cav is in rear of column.
21	1930	2/14 REDOPS and 4/9 OPORD 9-67.
23	2030	4/9 observed ARVN soldier and civilian near vic old Laterite pit trying to cut through the wire, appears they want to get to sanitary fill. 4/9 is giving them warning not to do so.
24	2045	A/4/9 security patrol at New Laterite Pit observed 3 VC XT625156, taken under fire at the same time the 2/27 opened up with .50 Cal on bunker line. Results unk.
31	2400	SUMMARY: 1st Bde w/two Bns (4/9 and 4/23 (M) continued security opns vic the Cu Chi base. 4/23 (M) came under OPCON 1st Bde 271430 hrs. 4/23 closing Cu Chi base, conducted security opns and maintenance 28 Feb 67. 4/9 Inf continued security opns vic the Cu Chi base and provided one Co as Div Base Reaction Force, with Co B. Co A provided one platoon for security of new Laterite pit. Co C one platoon conducted security opns vic Cu Chi base and secured the new Laterite pit. PLANS SUMMARY: 1st Bde will continue to control the defense of the Cu Chi base perimeter. 4/23 Inf will conduct security opns vic the Cu Chi base. 4/9 Inf will continue security opns vic the Cu Chi base.
