    Patrols came and went, Sit/Reps reported, no other activity all day.

4/9 tower fired flares, saw 3 personnel at XT 673153.  Fired 2 rounds M-79.  Neg results.

4/9 platoon departed for MEDCAP vic Phu Hoa Duong.

14 1015 2/27 located on individual vic XT623175, 4 individuals at XT619179 and 10 individuals at XT612178.
15 1020 G2 reports an aircraft received fire about 3000 meters off end of runway at approx location vic XT6418.
17 1205 Ref Item 14:  As a result of 4.2 fire mission, unit claims 2 VC KIA (Poss).
18 1215 Cu Chi Sub Sector advisor reports that PF outpost vic XT588149 was in contact with two VC squads.
20 1450 Ref Item 15:  There will be an air strike at 1500 hrs vic XT600320 as a result of unknown flying aircraft that received fire at that location.
24 1625 Delayed Entry 1715 2 March:  1st Div convoy from Tay Ninh, CP DELTA XT7009 - 5 ton tractor trailer w/Caterpillar broke down at XT698089 and had to be left there.  Cu Chi MP's notified 725th Maint that a vehicle was wrecked, Cu Chi MP's escorted wrecker to vehicle and found that wrecker was too light, had to get M-88 VTR.  This veh (VTR) was escorted back to Cu Chi by MP's.  At 1910 hrs AW fire came from southwest, and sniper fire four minutes later.  MP's called for gunships.  At 1925 the reaction force was alerted.  AT 2245 all personnel and vehicle closed base camp.
26 1700 Ref Item 20:  3 VC KIA (Poss).  20 meters of trenches destroyed, several tunnel entrances exposed at XT603320.
28 1825 Delayed Entry:  A/4/9 captured 2 Chicom AR AK-47, a result of engagement of VC on 25 Feb 67.
31 1835 B/4/9 patrol found 2 sampans landing loc XT678158, and XT679157, it appears to have been used within the last two days.
37 2050 G3 reported that 1st Div convoy had one vehicle hit by mine vic XT542178 and received SA fire from vic XT550197.
43 2305 C/4/9 patrol sighted 10 VC vix XT668189, setting up hasty ambush at same coord.
45 2400 SUMMARY:  1st Bde continued opn ALA MOANA and continued Cu Chi base defense.  4/9 Inf conducted one company size S&D opn vic XT698188 and provided one company as Div Base Reaction Force.  4/23 Inf continued security mission between Cu Chi and Hoc Mon bridge on Route 1.
PLANS SUMMARY:  C/4/9 Inf will continue S&D opns and return to Cu Chi base camp on 4 Mar.  4/23 Inf will conduct a company size S&D mission vic XT633173 and continue route security on Route 1 from Cu Chi to Hoc Mon bridge.
