15	1320	From 196th Bde to 33: Approx 0815 a minesweeping team was clearing road between Dau Tieng and Tay Ninh, as they were proceeding to sweep road a civilian bus approached their rear blowing his horn and trying to pass minesweeping team. Bus managed to pass team. Pressure detonated mine was set off XT383428. Resulting in 5 civilians killed, 20 wounded. Also at same loc, one APC from 3/4 Cav hit another mine. Negative casualties.
31	2330	B Co reported that their patrol #4 at the Laterite pit fired one round M079 at a suspected VC coord XT493493. No further movement seen.

11	0640	A/1/27 rec'd 3-4 rounds sniper fire vic XT674104, neg casualties.
23	0940	C/4/9 located one VC body vic XT668189, also 1 hammock in a trench. VC was under 20 years old, wearing blue pants and green shirt. He had web gear and 3 banana clips. 1 VC KIA (BC).
24	0947	B/4/23 rec'd SA and AW fire vic XT529198. Picked up one detainee.
28	1045	C/4/9 located a 2-man overhead bunker camouflaged with an ant hill on top, vic XT672199.
29	1050	B/4/23 rec'd sniper fire vic XT532212. Unit returned fire, VC broke contact, 1 suspect detained (Male). Suspect approx 35 years old. No weapon found.
30	1145	From G3: Main gate guard (MP) reports VN person digging along road to southeast of the main gate vic XT653137, seems to be planting something. Mission passed to 4/9 to send a platoon with mine detectors to check out area.
32	1203	B/4/23 rec'd 20-30 rounds of AW fire vic XT523212. Size force unk, returned fire.
33	1225	Ref Item 30: 4/9 reports that their people have arrived at the area, and MI has checked the area with no results. Will check again. Neg results.
35	1255	C/4/23 APC hit a mine vic XT518206. 1 WIA. APC to be evac to Trang Bang.
45	1900	A/2/27 patrol spotted 6-8 VC at XT615185, called Arty, results 3 VC KIA (Poss). Destroyed 1 hut.
49	1931	B/4/23 rec'd 3 rounds mortar fire XT518229.
50	2010	A/4/9 patrol DAGWOOD ambushed a VC element vic XT690175. 5 VC KIA (Poss). Patrol changing position to XT685171. No US casualties.
56	2400	SUMMARY: 1st Bde continued opn ALA MOANA and continued control headquarters for Cu Chi base defense. 4/9 Inf continued security opns vic Cu Chi base camp and conducted a platoon size heliborne S&D mission vic XT6619. 4/23 Inf conducted a Bn size S&D opn vic XT5123. PLANS SUMMARY: 4/9 Inf will conduct patrolling in the FILHOL Plantation and continue security opn vic Cu Chi base camp. 4/23 Inf will continue Bn S&D opn vic XT5123.
