2	0115	Radar spotted 1 suspected VC vic XT662169, will be kept under surveillance and engaged if he comes closer.
5	0305	Radar has engaged one suspected VC personnel vic XT662170 with approx 8 M-79 rounds, results unknown at this time.
		Initial log entries contain hourly sit/rep, no change.
30	2055	Outpost Ann Margaret spotted 5 VC at vic coord XT668173, VC were fired on with SA and Arty, results unk.
35	2240	Patrol 3 reports finding nothing in area where 5 VC were spotted.

7	0310	2/14 confirms movement to be 1 person approx 150 meters in front of bunker 5. Engaged with M-79, results unk.
16	1125	One aircraft down between Cu Chi and 4/9 base camp.
25	1425	A/4/23 rec'd 6 rounds AW fire vic XT503227. Neg casualties, returned fire, checking area.
27	1635	C/4/23 rec'd AW fire vic XT517239. Returned fire, results unk.
28	1700	B/4/23 spotted 4 VC, one with weapon vic XT519250. Called for light fire team.
32	1940	C/4/23 picked up 2 detainees vic XT516248. One had ID card, turned over to S2 4/23.
33	1945	B/4/23 apprehended 3 detainees vic XT503245, 1 had ID card, turned over to S2
34	1950	C/4/23 had 1 WIA (minor head wound). Rec'd 4-5 rounds AW fire at XT527254.
37	2040	ARVN unit in 4/23 AO taken under fire by unknown size VC force, results 1 VC KIA (BC), captured 1 submachine gun. XT505254.
39	2125	C/2/14 engaged 5 VC with SA and Arty, neg results. No casualties.
44	2325	A/4/9 patrol M3 sprung ambush at XT698941, unknown size VC force. Engaged with SA and M-79. Results 1 VC KIA (BC), 3 VC KIA (Poss). No US casualties, captured 1 weapon.
46	2400	SUMMARY: 1st Bde continued opn ALA MOANA and MAKALAPA and conducted security opns vic Cu Chi base camp. 4/9 Inf continued movement to Gia Dinh Province. CP located vic XS727964. 2/14 Inf continued security opns vic Cu Chi base camp. 4/23 Inf continued opn ALA MOANA vic XT5022 with S&D missions in separate company AO's. PLANS SUMMARY: 4/9 Inf will continue base development and ambush patrolling. B/4/9 will conduct an airmobile mission vic XS7293. 2/14 Inf will conduct S&D opn in the FILHOL Plantation and continue security opns vic Cu Chi base. 4/23 Inf will conduct separate company S&D opn vic XT5123, XT4724 and XT5321.
