B Co has one man to return on resupply ship to be checked out by Med Bn, also two men to return to base camp tonight for clearance to U.S.

69 0754 Extraction of B Co's water cans completed.
72 0807 Dustoff requested for 1 US, head wound accident, LZ at fwd base camp.
73 0830 Dustoff completed 0830.  Casualty died shortly after dustoff was requested.
74 0900 51st Rangers informed 2/14 they found 1 machine gun, 2 M-1 rifles, 60 mines, and 1 VC KIA (BC) at XS597855.
75 0953 Manchu requests permission from 2/14 to have Issue 12 put a strike in on RR.  15 sampans spotted in that area.  Granted.
76 1003 B Co requests dustoff for 2 US heat casualties, 1 serious, LZ at XS627874.
77 1015 51st Rangers inform 2/14 that Tighten Locker 15 has 1 VC KIA (Poss) northeast on Canal 60.
78 1045 51st Rangers informed 2/14 that Tighten Locker 15 has found 1 Enfield rifle, M-1 rifles, 1 Chicom carbine, 1 60mm mortar, 7,000 rounds SA ammo, 30 81mm mortars, 1 light Chicom machinegun, 7 VC claymores, 6 57mm recoilless rifle rounds, and 1 VC KIA (Poss) at XS597855.
86 1240 B Co requested dustoff for 1 US heat casualty, completed 1249.
88 1307 B Co found concrete bunker 4 ft x 4 ft at XS628877, will destroy.
90 1520 2/14 Inf asked Manchu for permission to fire at individuals clad in black at junction of NOVEMBER and CANAL 73.  Granted.
91 1550 Delayed Entry:  B Co found 5 VC weapons at XS628877.
92 1555 Manchu informed 2/14 they will use Arty in XS645873 to suppress sniper fire in that area.
93 1730 Assessment of morning air strike at XS652867 by 2 B-57 bombers; 90% of area was covered, 7 bunkers destroyed, 10 damaged, 1 secondary fire with white smoke, 5 VC KIA (BC).
97 1858 Received 2 mortar rounds, 1 dud, no casualties.
98 1900 Muzzle flashes were observed by bunker line approx 1600 meters out towards Ben Luc XS650774.
117 2221 Ref Item 91:  Additional items found, 1 box medicine, approx 1 lb of medicine, 288 rounds M-1, .45 Cal., and Chicom ammunition, 1 VC newspaper.
    Daily Sit/Rep 091801H to 101800H Apr 67

1.  Operational Summary:

  a.  General:  2/14th Inf continued to defend in sector at forward base camp vic Ben Luc.  Six listening posts were conducted during the hours of darkness and security was posted throughout the perimeter.  2/14 Inf (-) continued to advance toward Obj DELTA vix XS 634884 to destroy VC fortifications and facilities on AO ST GEORGE.  One company remained in base camp for security and continued to improve their defensive positions.  Two 105mm howitzer batteries and the heavy mortar platoon continued to fire in direct support of the battalion operation.  In addition, the engr and Recon platoon cleared the road from te forward base camp.
