C Co reports engineers are sending 2 men on extraction chopper, get in touch with Eng. squad leader and rotate 2 men.  A Co - 1 man, B Co - 2 men

21 0725 Resupply for A, B & C Co started, completed 0758 hrs.
24 0823 Notified Bobcat 65 that we will have an air strike at 0830 at XT510340, request check fire for 10 minutes.  Granted.
29 0920 B Co reports finding a bunker complex and some rice.  XT498326
30 0920 A Co reports finding 2 100 lb bombs at coord XT500344, destroyed.
31 1010 A Co reports finding a large metal box with 540 rounds 7.62 ammo inside, believed to be used for AK-47, coord XT503345, will extract.
32 1010 B Co found some documents and one set of GI dog tags.  Still searching.
33 1020 C Do reports they have destroyed 23 squad-size bunkers, sizes from 12 ft x 12 ft to 6 ft x 12 ft, made of log and mud about 1 foot deep.  200 meters of tunnels, 3 spider holes.  Also reports that Air Force destroyed 40 bunkers with air strikes XT500336
34 1020 B Co requests emergency resupply of 700 lbs C-4 and 1000 feet det cord.  Completed 1041.
36 1106 A Co reports finding 2 Chicom anti-tank mines at coord XT504347, destroyed in place.
38 1128 B Co has found 40 lbs rice, a mess hall, 15 bunkers and 2 lbs documents.  Still searching.
39 1205 From S3 Air:  Second air strike at XT501326 begins now
41 1306 A Co reports a heavily booby-trapped area at coord XT503347.  Found 13 booby-trapped grenades and will keep us posted.  XT507341
42 1307 C Co on LZ for tonight found 5,000-10,000 rounds SA ammo, and are finding more.  Also area is booby-trapped.  Ammo was in bunkers that are booby-trapped.
43 1325 A Co reports vic XT503347 ring of 30 booby-trapped grenades about waist high.  These were around a shelter size 7 ft x 10 ft x 6 ft shelter with a tin roof, looked like it had been used recently.
44 1330 C Co requested one case insect repellant and salt tablets, informed S-4 NCO Sgt Butler.
45 1340 C Co reports that they have found over 100,000 rounds SA ammo and are still pulling it out.
46 1425 A Co reports finding two large bunkers which are heavily booby-trapped.  Inside found 20 carbines, 2 30 Cal machine guns, 2 foreign made machine guns, 45,000 rounds of ammo and are still searching.
47 1500 Ref Item 46:  Total number of weapons are 50 Chicom rifles, 7 BAR's, 7 foreign machine guns, 2 30 Cal machine guns, 32,000 rounds ammo, 30 RPG-2 rockets, will evacuate.
49 1657 A Co reports finding 89 assorted rifles, 5 German machine guns, 4 rocket launchers, one 60mm mortar base plate, 1 Russian machine gun, 3 machine gun tripods, 21 carbines, 1 anti-aircraft machine gun, 1 North Vietnamese machine gun, 4 Thompson submachine guns, 4 grease guns, 3 Chicom light machine guns, 2 30 Cal light machine guns, 7 BAR's, 4 anti-aircraft sights, 4 60mm mortar sights.
50 1730 C Co reports 1 US WIA, requested dustoff, litter, leg wound from friendly Arty defcon.
59 1936 C Do resupply for tomorrow:  1 case frag grenades, 1 case smoke, 1 box 45 Cal ammo (50 rounds), 1 sling and magazine for M-16, 1 box BA-30, 6 canteens and cups, 7 canteen covers, 3 machetes, 1 flashlight, 2 compasses, 3 ponchos, 6 files.
60 1945 B Co requests 7 jungle fatigue pants (S-R), 1 jungle fatigue shirt, 12 shotgun shells, 1 case smoke, 500 rounds M-60 ammo, 1 jungle fatigue pants (M-R)
63 2055 S-4 says all items requested by C Co will not be available tomorrow such as canteens, cups, covers, machetes, flashlights, compasses, files and ponchos.
71 2240 Maj. Devins of 4/9 informed 2/14 that a 50% stand down was now in effect.
