Lawrence FSO-2, Mr. David Packard FSB-2.  They will be escorted by Col. Krause, Military Senior Advisor of the III Corps area.  They will have their own transportation.

Summary:  CRIP conducted an early morning operation, departing Trung Lap at first light moving north into Xom Rang-Toan Lanh area.  A Co departed Patton by Chinook to go OpCon to 3/4 Cav for Rome Plow operations in Boi Loi Woods.  D Co continued operations with 10th ARVN Cav in Filhol area.  B & C companies conducted heliborne combat assaults in Sa Nho area of the Ho Bo Woods.  Spotting of 12 VC by FAC triggered an operation which put B & C companies into AO Lobo following an air strike.  Extensive bunker and tunnel complex was destroyed, 2 VC POWs were taken, 2 confirmed body count, other VC were buried in bunkers by air strikes and artillery, 1 AK-47, 1 K-54 pistol, equipment, documents and food were found.  Task Force made contact with small enemy force, 5 body count, 1 POW, 3 AK-47s, equipment, food, medical supplies.  CRIP picked up 3 female detainees today, one was an important leader in VCI activities.  B Co had 1 KIA, 3 WIAs from 20 lb anti-tank mine south of Sa Nho this morning.  Gunships accounted for 6 body count during the day.  2/49 ARVN made contact with VC south of Bao Trang, found equipment, food, had 1 KIA from 82mm booby-trap.  Artillery engaged sightings and pick ups by radar, duffle bag and red haze tonight.  C Co sent 1 NCP out of Hunsley; B Co sent 1 NCP from Patton and ARVNs had 10 NCPs in the vicinity of Trung Lap.  Early in the evening C Co reported movement near the perimeter of Hunsley but nothing developed.  Nighthawk checked the area around Hunsley with negative findings.
