Operations:
   Co A 3rd platoon cont'd opns in Michellin Plantation, conduct detail search of area using tunnel dogs and mine detectors for pos enemy cash site, Conduct AP vic XT521517-530516 and XT532510.  Weapons platoon in charge of road sweep from Dau Tieng to FSB Byrd. 
   B Co Cont'd Security at Dau Tieng Base Camp, 1 platoon on 5 min. standby as RRF (ready reaction force).  2 platoons conduct training Fire and Maneuver, 1300-1600 hrs.  1 platoon conduct AP vic XT502510.  Weapons platoon provide road sweep detail 1 platoon PZ Dau Tieng BC O/A 0800 hrs CA LZ vic XT545601, disarm Mechanical Ambush vic LZ, move to vic XT545625, disarm Mechanical Ambush move to PZ, return to Dau Tieng O/A 1100 hrs. 
   C Co 3rd platoon, 1 platoon  PF continue operations in Michelin Plantation, conduct detail search of area, conduct AP vic XT533542, 534533 & 546530.  Weapons platoon duty platoon at Dau Tieng Base Camp. 
   D Co Continue security of FSB Byrd, 1 platoon return from AP to Dau Tieng Base Camp, truck to FSB O/A (or or about) 1300 hrs, 1 platoon conduct ground recon vic Byrd O/A 1700, emplace Mech ambush, return to FSB, 1 platoon conduct AP vic XT594537.  Weapons platoon provide road sweep platoon and TCP at Dau Tieng bridge.

    Summary:
At 0400 hours (1) PPS/5 radar in tower #5 went down.  C Co 3rd platoon vic XT545551 for a 105mm dud round and a bike found the night of 1 August.  B Co airborne at 1700 hours from FSB Byrd and down green at 1737 hours.  The airmobile company was released at 1739 hours with 5+30 blade hours.  A request for AO SOUTH to District for mechanical ambushes was approved at 1830 hours.  The date-time-group is 030600-051200, grids XT 5455-5456-5556-5555.  The LRRP's requested AO TAN from Phu Xhong at 1900 hours.  The date-time-group is 050800-100800 hours, grids XT 3857-4057-4156-5155-3855.  There was a negative situation report at 2400 hours from all elements except B Company 2nd platoon who had negative communications.
