Operations:  C Co 1 platoon return to or for AP O/A (on or about) 0730 to Dau Tieng base camp, 2nd platoon move to FSB Byrd by truck O/A 1200 hrs, 1 platoon conduct sweep and security of convoy route as directed, 1 platoon at FSB Byrd conduct ground recon O/A 1700 hrs and emplace mech ambushes and return to FSB.  1 platoon conduct AP vic 554484.  Weapons platoon 1 tube move to FSB, 2 tubes at Dau Tieng.  Provide detail at DT BC (Dau Tieng Base Camp) for road sweep and TCP at Dau Tieng Bridge.
Co B 1 platoon return from AP O/A 0730 hrs, conduct road sweep on 239 from FSB to vic XT547493 O/A 0600 hrs, link up with road sweep from Dau Tieng, return to FSB.  3 platoon PZ FSB O/A 1300 hrs CA LZ vic XT544565, conduct search of area, conduct AP vic XT538565, 550565, 560572.  Weapons platoon 1 tube return to Dau Tieng to provide detail for mine sweep 239E. 
C Co 2 platoon continued search of area vic AP sites and move to PZ vic XT544565 along with 1 plat 395 PF OA 1300 hrs.  Return to Dau Tieng BC and provide detail for road sweep who will be in charge of 239E.
D Co 3 platoon and 1 platoon RF continued operations in the northeast section of Michelin Rubber Plantation.  Conduct detail search of area, emplace mechanical ambush as directed, conduct AP vic XT572563, 576564, 583563.  Weapons platoon duty platoon at Dau Tieng Base Camp.
Recon PZ Dau Tieng Base Camp O/A 1500 hrs and CA LZ vic XT458402.  Conduct detail search of area and AP vic XT462409.  4.2 platoon at Dau Tieng BC O/A 1500 hrs and CA 1 section duty platoon.
A Troop 3/4 Cav 984 LCC, 959 RF Co continued cut in area 36 & 35 in vic XT600623.

B Co at XT554573 found 2 bunkers, 1st bunker 10-6-5, 3' overhead cover (logs and dirt).  Found 1 deck playing cards, 1 AK-47, magazines filled with ammo, 30 K-54 rounds.  Inside of bunker wood paneled.  2nd bunker 4-8-6, 1 piece of green cloth 1ft square, 1 bush hat, 1 comb, and 1 M-60 ammo pouch.  Recent activity, believed they ran VC out as they came (30 min)

    Summary:
Brigade reported at 0310 hours that Yellow Jacket 2936, 3 August Regimental CP within 500 meter radius XT626552.  AO SUZIE date-time-group 060900-101800 requested from Brigade at 0420 hours and closed Dau Tieng at 1532 hours.  B Co airborne at 1440 hours and down green at 1541 hours.  Recon airborne at 1547 hours and down green at 1600 hours.  The airmobile Company was released at 1600 hours to Flex Control with 13 blade hours.  At 1700 hours, B Co reported location of enemy camp site and bunkers.  See Items #60 and 63.  AO SUZIE II approved before District at 1850 hours provided mechanical ambushes are in after 1900 hours and recovered before 0600 hours.  An extension of AO NORTH was approved until 10 August 1200 hours at 2220 hours.  All elements and all Districts had a negative situation report at 2400 hours except Recon who we had negative commo with.
