Operations: A Co 1 platoon return from AP O/A (or or about) 0730 to Dau Tieng.  2nd plat move to Byrd by truck at 1200 hours.  1 plat conduct sweep and security of convoy route as directed.  1 plat at Byrd conduct ground recon O/A 1700 hours and emplaced mech. ambush and return to FSB.  1 plat conduct AP from FSB vic XT554484.  Weapons plat sweep 1 tube Byrd 2 tubes Dau Tieng, provide detail at Dau Tieng for road sweep and TCP at Dau Tieng Bridge.
B Co 1 plat return from AP O/A 0730 hrs.  Conduct road sweep on 239 from FSB to vic XT547493  O/A 0800 hours, link up with road sweep from Dau Tieng, return to FSB.  3 platoons PZ FSB O/A 1300 hrs, CA LZ vic XT560572, conduct search of area and conduct AP vic ST538565, 550565, 544565.  Weapons platoon 1 tube return Dau Tieng, provide detail for road sweep of 239.
C Co 3 platoons conduct search of area vic AP sites and move to PZ vic XT544565 along with 1 platoon on standby as ready reaction force.  Care and maintenance of equipment.  Weapons platoon provide detail for road sweep who will be in charge for 239 E.
D Co. 3 platoons and 1 RF continued operations in the Northeast section of Michelin Rubber plantation.  Conduct detail search of area, emplace mech ambush as directed, conduct AP vic XT 572563, 576564, 583563.  Weapons platoon duty platoon at Dau Tieng.
Recon PZ Dau Tieng O/A 1500 hrs and CA LZ vic XT458402.  Conduct detail search of area and conduct AP vic XT462409.
4.2 platoon at Dau Tieng, 1 section duty weapons.

    Summary:
Recon platoon made contact with 3 enemy at 0900 hours, vicinity XT454405.  There was one US KIA and negative enemy casualties.  The enemy moved north, believed armed with M-16.  B Co made contact at 1115 hours.  See Item #22.  Recon platoon found bunkers and enemy activity at 1400 hours.  See Item #30,46,51.  AO Hawk was approved by Tri Tam at 1455 hours.  Agent report from Tri Tam reported at 1900 hours that 4 NVA armed with B-40 rockets and AK-47's were seen in rubber block #60 at 2020 hours.  A Co 3/4 Cav requested two priority Medevacs.  There was a short round of 81mm from the tube and the persons were wounded.  At 2115 a Medevac was requested from the aid station for a Vietnamese civilian with a broken leg received when hit by a truck.  At 2145 a routine ambulatory Medevac was requested for a man from C Co 2/14 with bursitis in the left shoulder.
