E-4 E-061-38-9519 MOS-63C20  Loc 607657 A Trp night laager.  Individual was working on track #22, another mechanic going into the hatch to work on it bumped the butterfly on 50 cal and discharged wpn striking the individual in fleshy part of lower left leg.  (Action to be taken)  Platoon leader will clear all wpn when they come in to Night Laager sites.

    Summary:
At 0335 hours Dau Tieng received 15-19 rounds of incoming 82mm.  There were six (6) casualties but no medevacs.  D Co 2nd platoon heard popping sound and got suspect grids of XT501503 or XT503515.  An extension on AO SUZIE II was approved by Bde at 1100 hours.  C Co 2nd platoon made contact at 1408 hours.  See Item #48 & 52.  The extension for AO CAT was approved by District at 1425 hours.  AO DRAGON was also approved for Mechanical Ambushes.  The DTG 091200-141200, grids XT488534-505534-502498-488495.  C Co 1st platoon made contact at 1450 hours.  See Item #55.  At 1725 hours Recon made contact with 6 enemy.  See Item #69.  At 1750 hours rubber workers or rubber blocks 47 & 48 were approved by District for Mech. Ambushes DTG 091500-121800 August.  They were cleared by Bde at 1800 hours.  At 1742 and 1800 hours C Co 3rd platoon made contact, See item #74 & 75.  A Trp 3/4 Cav requested Medevac priority litter for man accidentally shot in leg by 50 Cal while cleaning at 1857 hours, see item #93 for details.
